Description

Morgana nurses her questionably colored drink at the Bar as she take a break from the dance floor, the last few men and women she had struck up conversations with utter disappointments, failing to distract her from thoughts of Robin at all. Despite this, and the obnoxious music and lights of the club, she feels at ease, so many people together having a good time doing much to relax her, even if her unusual choice of clothing makes her stand out.

Wryly looking over at the small cluster of partying college students, Morgana becomes introspective of having been that young once upon a time... and how different things were for her. Realizing that this celebration by AFU’s finest ladies seemed to be irritating to the regulars, she decides not to get involved when two of the women sit down beside her, both talking loudly enough to not only hear each other over the music, but to force Morgana into the position of unwitting eavesdropper.

“She’s in the Ladies room vomiting her weaves out.” The more lighthearted of the two giggles as she tries to cheer up her solemn friend.

“I did not mean to cause her any physical harm Brenda.” The second replies, her face set in a troubled expression as she stares at the bar.

“She had it coming Cassie, she stole your man. Don’t you want some payback?” A little exasperated, Bren rolls her eyes, ordering a pair of fuzzy navels from the belabored bartender.

Cassandra ponders for a moment. “It is my belief she will ‘get what’s coming to her’, is this not the correct assumption?”

Brenda laughs at her choice of words as she grabs her drink. “You are too funny; sometimes I think you’re REALLY not from around here, anyway I’m heading back for the Runway.”

“I will join you shortly.” Cassandra nods distantly as Brenda and heads back in the fray, scarcely acknowledging her own drink.

A break in the conversation she had been forced to listen to developing, Morgana indulges her curiosity, looking Cass up and down, a light smile on her face as she likes what she sees. “So... she seems like a nice girl, are you going to tell her what you really are?”

Cassie turns suddenly, in shock as she spots Morgana a few seats away. “What! What do you mean?”

“I mean I can sense the metals in your body, far too many of them for you to be human… and some fairly unusual alloys at that… you may not even be alive by some standards.” Morgana swirls her drink around with the toothpick in it, withdrawing it to take a bite out of the bit of pineapple chunk speared on the wooden sliver, watching Cassandra like a hawk the whole while.

Cassandra hurriedly shifts seats so the two of them can speak more quietly, the measure of caution perhaps mistakable for one of intimacy. “May I ask what your name is miss?”

Raising an eyebrow, the immortal gives a somewhat seductive smile, the metal woman before her more than piquing her interest. “Morgana Le Fay, and you?”

“Cassandra Fuller, I am a Grad student at AFU. How have you the ability to discern my nature?” Cassandra watches Morgana closely, ready at any moment for fight or flight, rapidly running through her database to try and determine whether this woman is a threat, whether she has some connection to the foes she has already fought alongside Changeling or is known to the authorities as a villainess.

“So you don’t deny it. I‘m what you may call a mage of sorts, a Geomancer to be specific, I’m from… out of town if you catch my drift. I’m not quite human, but then neither are you… who made you?” Morgana watches Cassandra closely, ever more fascinated as she discovers some new intricacy of her construction or composition, most of the technologies beyond her ken, but still clearly impressive.

Finding no reference or match to Morgana in the local, international or global supercrime databases, Cassandra breathes a little easier, still exercising due caution. “I’m afraid that’s classified, to protect my creators and their identities.”

“Fair enough… then what can you tell me about yourself?” motioning to the bartender for the next round, Morgana settles for a nice chat with the most interesting person in the club, the two of them chatting for a few hours, heedless to the show so many of Club Sin’s other patrons are enjoying.
