Hyper Con Amazonia

The Convention was abuzz as cameras flashed at the main interview area. Many came running as word spread like a wild fire. Amazonia was in the building, and every cosplay patron dropped what they were doing to see the reborn legend. Many remembered how she burst into the scene when Ultrawoman and Dark Star destroyed much of Sapphire. Others also saw her in action against Jural Kirin’s holographic army, and even battling the alien supremacist Eveilus. Yet more remembered her from her mother who for 60 years was the predecessor of Guardians, and one of the founding members of the Protectors. Amazonia knew this was a special occasion, so special she donned her mother’s patriotic colors complete with cape. Although she considered herself a rookie, she was a super star who was placed in high regards with the likes of Mindy Marvel and Soviet Superwoman. As she smiled, it became more a media blitz then a Fandom event as reporters anxious to get any morsel of information about this new Guardian in a very familiar outfit. Rather than ignore the media altogether, she agreed to answer one of the reporters’ questions. Shockingly, a well-known reporter in the form of Ashley Moore.

“Amazonia, you have been a Guardian for several months now and have made quite an impact with many fans, old and new. Do you think you are more popular than your predecessor?” She asks.

“I have no need for adoration. I just want to help the people of Angel Falls, as well as the world. As for my mother, all I wish to do is continue the good she brought to you all.”

“Why the long period before Amazonia's return?”

“I can't comment on that without revealing part of my identity. All I can say is that Amazonia was not ready to return until then.”

Ashley seemed confused by the answer. “I was under the assumption that you were destined to be the next Amazonia.”

“The fact is no one person is chosen to be Amazonia. Of my people it Etheria, we believed that it was the Queen who was the chosen one, but my mother was the first Amazonia to appear in centuries, and she was not the Queen.”

“One last question. After the incident with Sky Temple, will there be more information about the Etherians?”

“Queen Bruuna has made a request for a diplomatic envoy. Talks with the Brazilian government have been positive now the Rooks have been weeded out of the government.”

“So are you going to be an envoy for the Etherians?”

Amazonia smiles as everyone seems interested in her answer. “Miss Moore, although I don't believe this, my people consider me a Goddess. I can best serve my people protecting them, as well as the outside world from the evil such as the Rooks that threaten us all.”
