Invictus Jail Break 10 The End

It’s been 3 days of Traveling after they ditched the Car in St Louis. They caught a bus and made their way to long way eastward. It was about 3:30 P.M. when Shard suddenly awoken out of a sound sleep. He let out a sneeze, and then yawned as he then heard a noise.

“Hmm playmates”, he says with a toothy grin. He then hops out of his makeshift bed, and grabs his tools, as he gleefully started for down stairs. As he approached the 2nd to last landing he paused and listened. He heard a faint creak, as he stealthily went down the stairs. As he approached the landing he sensed the danger was not what he believed, as he saw a Kitten mewing as it seemed to want out, and away from the Onyx assassin. As he sheathed his blade, he shook his head disappointedly. “Almost Cat Food”, he says, as he opens the door, and the kitten scampers away.
He wasn’t use to the light even in the late Afternoon, yet he seemed entranced by the autumn sun. He then walked to the Bus Stop. The streets were as desolate as ever, except for the homeless man with his shopping cart of Cans and bottles. He then leaped to the top of the Bus Stop and stretched, and then squatted on the Bus Stop watching the passing cars from the early rush hour zoom by on Little Broadway. Then he picked up the sound of the Bus. A very distinctive sound, as he hissed at the Blue, white, and red horseless carriage thing the beast must vomit it food, but remembers very few people come to Silent Hill. As the Bus pulled over the Driver looked at Shard like his was a nut. He stopped and opens the door.

“Hey you idiot, get off the damn Bus stop”!

Shard pondered the words and replied, Sure, what is this Bus Stop you speak of”?

“The Object under your feet”, exclaimed the Bus driver angrily. He didn’t have time to argue as Shard continues to sit on the Bus stop. In the rear Juanita, Invictus, and Astrid stepped off the Bus. The Bus then drove away, but Shard seemed entranced by Juanita, as he sat and listened.

“You will need a computer, if you call from where your going to stay, I can deliver one later tonight”, says Astrid.

“We’ll manage, I believe we can head Downtown later and get some shopping in”, replies Invictus.

“But there’s only a few seedy Motels here in Silent Hill, you will be slumming it”.

“Well nothing for nothing, we can always stay in an abandoned brownstone”.

“Chica, what about heat, and electricity”, asks Juanita? “Hell I want to take a shower”.

Invictus glares at Juanita, “You can always go back to California, because you’re slowing me down”.

Juanita went silent, as Invictus turned back to Astrid. Once we get settled, get a job, and go over this Data, we will call you”.

“Very well I’m running late for my appointment”.

“With Jeffrey I presume”?

“Actually a certain over bloated blonde villainous that has been running me ragged, but that’s another story”.

Just then a charcoal SUV pulls up to the Bus Stop, Alexis, and Juanita watch as she hops in the vehicle, and is driven off towards Downtown.

“She seems very helpful; you said she killed over 300 clones”?

“Trust me Chica, there are no nice villains, including yours truly”. She walks out the Bus stop and looks at the clock tower with a quizzical look. I bet they have power, and running water in that tower.

“What about a shower”?

“I believe this Tower served as an office building of sorts, I wouldn’t be surprise the one of these floors could serve our needs”.

Just then Alexis sense something as she caught the glimpse of a shadow. She lift her right leg, and swing kicked as Shard landed, and knocked him to the ground. Shard reached for a Dagger and tossed it, as Alexis reached out and snatched it using one of her states on her hand, and retrieving the knife. She catches a glimpse at the black toned Elf with his piercing red eyes.

“You picked the wrong girls to mug whatever you are”!

“Well you aren’t taking my home, I just finished decorating”.

Juanita looked in amazement at Shard, “Check out the get up. Yo poppy, the Medieval fair let out early”, she says with laughter, as Shard cannot comprehend what she means, As he rises to his feet, and looks to Alexis.

“I mean it ladies; I am not going to let you take my home”.

“So you’re using all 5 floors of this Tower”?

“Actually no, but I don’t get along with your kind”.

“Come on Poppy”, exclaimed Juanita, “we aren’t hookers, and we don’t peddle dope, we just need a place to lay low from the law”.

“Yeah right, and rob me blind. Go to the flop house down the street. I found this tower, and it’s mine”.

Juanita saddens as Alexi’s hands the Elf back his knife, and they begin to walk off. Yet for the first time Shard felt selfish, and guilty. There was plenty of room, and he found the one with curly hair somewhat refreshing.

“Excuse me”, he said, as the two women pause, and looked toward him. “There is 2 working Bathrooms but there’s a crack in one of the toilets. You help me fix the second Bathroom, and you can stay, all I ask is I sleep in the Daylight, don’t wake me”.

Juanita smiles as Alexis raise an eyebrow and say, “It’s a deal Mister…”?

“Shard, just call me Shard”. He bows to the ladies.

"My name is Alexis, and this is Juanita. Thank you for you graciousness”.

Shard escorts them into the Tower as the sun sets on the beginning of their new life in Angel Falls. Yet the Government is still on them, and plans for finding the 50 Clones of U1trawoman are being hatched as well, yet these two wanted felons are embroiled into the middle of some grand happenings.
