Shinobi

Shinobi is a Futaran (well it sounds alien enough now don't it).  She was the only surviving member of the crew from the Alien Colony ship, and just like the unfortunate men and women that found the ship, she as well is captive being tapped for everything she knows about the Futaran technology in hopes to get the colony ship to become mobile again.  It is after decades of questioning and participating in experiments on humans that she formulates a plan to escape so she can get back to doing what her people were sent here to do, and explore.

Yeah, there is more to that, but no spoilers.  Shinobi was inspired by  as they share a lot in common...minus the gun.
